We are flooded with complaints about the 'webcam situation' - and we do understand the frustration of our website visitors, because we share these feelings. Here a quick run-down on the problems we face:

• Bandwidth - Sunset B&G is popular (much more than in the years before) and the webcams are frequently eating up huge amounts of bandwidth - at ridiculous high rates, making consistent service financially impossible. Solution: We are working on bandwidth issues by re-routing the live stream to different servers not on island.
• Work-day reality: the webcams rely on PCs to process the signal. But Sunset B&G is what it is - a beach bar - and not an IT enterprise. There is nobody on location having an eye on the equipment . That's going to change very soon!
• Future: Now that we REALY have to focus on solving the webcam drama once and for all, we started coming up with many more exciting ways to implement the cameras. Let us surprise you!
